Mays Construction Specialties, Inc. has made a strong commitment to have an effective safety program.

We believe that our skilled employees are our most important asset, and the preservation of employee safety and health must remain a constant consideration in every phase of our business.

Mays Construction Specialties, Inc.'s Safety and Health Program, requires complete employee involvement.
All employees and supevisors attend safety and health training, and are required to complete the OSHA Occupational Safety and Health Administration) 10 hour Safety and Health training course.

MCSI performs periodic audits of sub-contractors' compliance and performance to the requirements of the MCSI Safety and Health Program, while working on any MCSI construction site.

All MCSI foremen and supervisors recertified in CPR and first-aid annually.

Brian Kilgore, who joined MCSI in May of 2006, has been in the construction health and safety field for more than 7 years. His professional experience spans the environmental, demolition, heavy highway construction and logistics fields. During his career, has worked for aggregate, concrete and asphalt producers.

Brian has experience with many construction safety associations including Colorado Contractors Association, the Association of Builders and Contractors, and numerous regulatory agencies. He is a certified radiation protection technologist and an OSHA Outreach trainer.

  • 40 hour Hazardous Waste Site worker
  • Radiation Worker instructor
  • OSHA 10 hour and 30 hour instructor for construction
  • Fall Protection equipment inspector
  • Hazardous material manager training
  • Forklift Trainer

  • Adult education instructor
  • BA in Biology with a minor in Computer Science from Western State College
