GVIC – 18.5 Road Shotcrete

In 2011 Grand Valley Irrigation District was awarded $2.9 million  in Federal funding to line canals and convert ditches into pipelines as part of an ongoing effort to reduce salinity in the Colorado River. MCSI worked with Grand Valley Irrigation Company (GVIC) on this ongoing project from its commencement in 2012 to 2017. This huge process involved installing 30 Mil PVC to lien the canals, and then applying shotcrete to preserve and protect the canal lining and prevent or greatly reduce salinity seepage. These pictures from 18.5 Road are just a small fraction of all the lining that MCSI has completed in the Grand Valley.
